Three gods — A, B, and C — are called True, False, and Random (in some order). True always speaks truthfully, False always speaks falsely, and Random answers completely randomly. You must determine the identities of A, B, and C by asking three yes-or-no questions. Each question must be posed to exactly one god. The gods understand English but answer in their own language — they say either “da” or “ja,” one of which means “yes” and the other “no” — but you don’t know which is which. Can you do it?

The full solution is long, but here’s the first breakthrough: you can neutralize the “da/ja” problem by using questions like “If I asked you Q, would you say ‘da’?” — this makes the answer to the embedded question determinable regardless of which word means “yes.” Good luck!

Puzzle: The Three Light Switches — determine which switch controls which bulb with one entry.
✅ Answer: Turn Switch 1 ON and leave it on for 5 minutes. Then turn Switch 1 OFF, turn Switch 2 ON, and immediately enter the room. The bulb that is ON = Switch 2. Touch the two OFF bulbs: the WARM one = Switch 1 (was on long enough to heat up). The COLD one = Switch 3 (never turned on).
